The Chestnut Hill Conservancy is a local non-profit that advocates for the architecture, open space, and history of Chestnut Hill, a historical and scenic neighborhood in Northwest Philadelphia.
Social Media
As the Programs and Communications Manager, I oversaw the Chestnut Hill Conservancy’s social media presence, leveraging it to promote the organization’s public programs and events effectively.
Public Programs
At the Conservancy, I was responsible for planning, producing, and executing public programs and events designed to promote the organization and advance its mission. These programs emphasized the preservation of Chestnut Hill’s historical, architectural, and cultural resources, as well as the open spaces that shape the character of the community and the surrounding Wissahickon watershed.

Fundraiser: Beef, Beer, and Baked Goods Fundraiser for Hiram Lodge 81 and Chef Angela Jarmon
The Chestnut Hill Conservancy hosted a Fundraiser at the Venetian Social Club (8030 Germantown Avenue). This event raised money to assist with the immediate stabilization and restoration of the fire-damaged Hiram Lodge #81. In addition, it also supported Night Kitchen Pastry Chef Angela Jarmon in her battle with multiple sclerosis.

Volunteer Day at Pastorius Park
The Chestnut Hill Conservancy and Friends of Pastorius Park organised a volunteer park clean-up at Pastorius Park. In addition, the Conservancy contributed with volunteers, refreshments, and Conservancy T-shirts.
Volunteer work involved clearing invasives, mulching recently-planted trees and shrubs, and dragging cleared vegetation to the street to be later chipped and turned into mulch or compost.
Chestnut Hill Conservancy Streetscape Exhibit – The Evolution of Pastorius Park, the Park that Almost Wasn’t
For the whole month of December 2022, the Chestnut Hill Conservancy displayed an exhibit in the storefront of Kilian Hardware Store (8450 Germantown Ave.).
The Streetscape Exhibit focused on Pastorius Park, one of the largest and most cherished green spaces in Chestnut Hill, which plays a key role in defining the beauty and character of this urban village. While the park is now a vibrant hub of activity, it was once envisioned as something entirely different.
The exhibit showcased the park’s evolution over the years, highlighting its original design as a dramatic double roundabout at the heart of Chestnut Hill. Panels created by Landscape Architect Rob Fleming included rarely-seen Olmsted drawings, sourced from his research with the Olmsted Archives.
The final panel celebrated the efforts of the Friends of Pastorius Park, who have worked tirelessly to restore, rejuvenate, and replant the park, preserving its legacy for future generations.
